Low challenge courseThe low challenge course at Koinonia consists of a multitude of team building and leadership activities. Each group of 10-15 people is sent with a trained facilitator for 1-3 hours of "KA" or Koinonia Adventure. You never know what trials you will go through, but you always know you will come back with a changed group.

Climbing wallOur climbing wall is a 44 foot Traverse Wall. This means that the climber goes side to side instead of up and down. Half the wall is on a 10 degree incline to add a level of difficulty to the activity. While this may appear easy, it is more difficult than it looks. Come and try it out if you don't believe us!

Pheasant huntingOur pheasant hunting program is provided through the raising of birds here on the property. If you would like to participate we provide the birds, a hunting guide, and the hunting dogs. You need to bring with you your own firearm, ammo, and a valid hunting license. It is a great way to bond

equine programsWe have 20 horses involved in our equine program. They are all indiviuals with different personalities, likes, dislikes, and abilities. We offer beginner riding lessons, ground work lessons, horse cart rides, trail rides, and a host of other programs. hay ridesThis is kind of a mis-named activity since at Koinonia we have a "hay-less" hayride. Our wagon is retrofitted with bus seats to make this tractor drawn ride more accessible to those with physical disabilities. Our hayride will take you on a short ride around our main camp, you can either ride and learn more about the camp facilities or you can ride with a staff member to sing songs and have a good time!

Tomahawk throwing
Our beginners tomahawk throwing is done with both small and large heads thrown at wooden targets. Our trained facilitators give both safety instruction and throwing technique instructions for those wishing to participate in this activity. There are a few activities we use to teach campers how to properly throw, such as tick-tac-toe. It is a great activity for those with little to no experience.

Beginners ArcheryOur beginners archery is done with re-curve bows and targets. Our trained facilitators give both safety instruction and shooting technique instruction for those wishing to participate in this activity. There are a few activities we use to teach campers how to properly shoot our bows. It is a great activity for those with little to no experience.

CanoeingOur facilities have canoes, paddles, and life jackets for your campers to enjoy the experience this fun activity on a small scale. We have 3/4 of an acre pond used for our canoeing. It is great for learning how to direct and power a canoe for first timers!
Our equipment is not rated for off grounds use. |
hikingKoinonia has 10 miles of hiking trails that are constantly changing based on weather and trail conditions! This means that each time you come to hike is a new experience! We have trails for those who want a good, long, challenging hike; and we have trails for those who just want a short jaunt in the woods. Hiking is a great way to experience all of the beauty that God has blessed at Koinonia!
