Lori grew up in Knox County out in the country. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School. She received her undergraduate degree in education from Ohio State University. She worked from the dish-room to Food Service manager in several locations to help pay for college. Her Master's work was done at Mary Grove College. She taught in Marion City Schools and then became lead teacher at the Fresh Start School in Marion County. Camping played a huge role in her spiritual growth and call to ministry. Growing up country, with a passion for horses, working in multiple kitchens, and on camp staffs in three states, helped to prepare her for her place in God's ministry at Koinonia.

Geneva grew up going to a summer camp in Michigan, where she is originally from. From the age of ten, she has had a passion for camp ministry, specifically in the equine field. This passion led her to be the horsemanship intern at Cran Hill Ranch, then move on to graduating from The School of Discipleship at Miracle Mountain Ranch in 2023. While in school she became CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) certified at a level 3, she also met her soon to be husband, Caleb. She is looking forward to her work here at Koinonia both in the office and with the Equine program.
